 The founder of The 1st Step Inc, LaRora Hestle, is an Army Veteran and single mother who learned to maximize resources to better her own and her children's lives. This experience inspired her to establish The 1st Step Inc, with the goal of assisting other mothers in accessing the housing, food, and clothing support they need. From assisting clients with credit counseling and financial literacy knowledge, to providing basic necessities to families in need, LaRora’s skills and expertise further encouraged her to establish her non-profit organization to inspire women and children to believe in second chances in life to achieve what seems to be impossible. Each day The 1st Step Inc focuses on “the total woman transformation,” by providing resources and programs that lead to a sustainable lifestyle.
